Who is Covenant

Covenant Baptist is a Southern Baptist Convention Church of believers. Church business and other activities are managed by a leadership team comprised of seven ministry team leaders and the Deacons team.

CBC began in July 1974 in Old West Indianola Elementary School on Highway 21. CBC was constituted October 6, 1974 and met in numerous facilities to include the Christian Fellowship Center and the Forbes Chapel prior to building our first building on site here on 37th Street.

The purposes of service (ministry) and witness champion these two priorities
Christ-following is a developmental journey whose goal is transformation. The purpose of maturity champions this priority.

People live, grow and serve best in the context of face-to-face, small group relationships. The purpose of community champions this priority.

Worship honors God and empowers people. The purpose of worship champions this priority.
